A friend of mine sent me this and I just wanted to pass it on:

Fifty years ago…in 1961…I double-dated to a formal dance. At dinner an older man at another table anonymously picked up our check. Tonight we went with friends to dinner at the Copper River Restaurant in Boiling Springs, South Carolina. The place was crawling with high school kids decked out for prom night. I picked out two couples at another table and paid for their bill, telling the waiter to tell them dinner was on a man who had a like thing done for him fifty years before, and for them to pass it on…in 2061. I've wanted to do that for decades!
